alphaTab + TiddlyWiki5 = awesome Guitar Tabs

Hello

alphaTab is an engine that renders alphaTex notation to (Guitar) tablature

I didn’t yet explore all possibilities but I’ve read that it can handle .gp files, too (Guitar Pro)

This plus TiddlyWiki5 would be an awesome database for guitarists and alike

Over at GitHub I’m trying to integrate this in TiddlyWiki5

Are there any guitarists in this community?

I was just about to tell you about musicsheets, but then realised that that’s you! The refreshed avatar completely threw me

I’m not but my eldest is so I’d definetly forward him a copy!

Hi!

Yes, musicsheets has its own stand here as it uses another notation system.
I’ll post a Demo soon!

And abcjs library also has an option for rendering tabs: Tablature | abcjs

Thanks @Euthymious

I didn’t know that abcjs was able to render tabs.
Anyway I find the documentation for alphaTab more comprehensive and the alphaTex syntax, too.
Further, alphaTab can render .gp* (Guitar Pro) files, which are available freely on the web for so many songs…

Here is a very early Demo for those who are interested:

Sadly, my experiments with alphaTab are failing.
It uses WebWorkers too heavily which is not really appropriate for TiddlyWiki5 as it looks like :frowning:

Maybe I find a way to improve musicsheets

I though I saw a music sheets, composer and or player previously in TiddlyWiki. A thorough search may prove helpful both here and the old google group.

Why do you say that? Is it not suitable to run in tiddlywiki?
