5.4.0 Upgrade anomaly - cloning opens tiddler with field value box prepopulated with text of tiddler body

After upgrading to 5.4.0 if I clone a tiddler it opens normally but with the field value box prepopulated with the text of the tiddler body, just waiting for me to enter a field name and click the add button.

If I delete the field value box contents, all the text in the tiddler body disappears as well.

I upgraded from 5.3.8 to 5.4.0.

I just did something similar and did not get this outcome, have a look at your overwritten system tiddlers and look for the clone button. You may see a mod of some kind.
