Where are we at on Read-Only TWs?

That is a v. interesting response. An instance of missionary zeal with a slightly guilty feel yet still hope?

Anyway, your docs are very useful to agnostics, atheists, theologians, Buddhists and satanists.

Moving on …

FYI as an anthropologist I am very interested in how your users of your TW’s access and use them.
I.e. The relationship between TW and your ministry.
It seems you have done a brilliant job!
Tell us HOW you did it!

P.s. do ALL your parishioners use the net?

Does read only mode disable showing any shadow tiddlers in search?

Not by default. But two different thoughts in response:

(1) You can remove any ready access to the advanced search (in read-only mode), by removing the magnifier button next to the search bar (under “Read Only” Page Controls), and by disabling the keyboard shortcut for Advanced Search.

(2) You can allow advanced search, but remove the tag $:/tags/AdvancedSearch from $:/core/ui/AdvancedSearch/Shadows (or add your own css so that it does not display when read only is active)

Note, neither of these will prevent people from finding shadows if they really want to. These are just ways to reduce the “noise” of results that are not relevant to the purpose of the wiki.
