Not entirely, but it would be awkward. One use would be to email the wiki to colleagues. Another would be to temporarily host it in one of several locations. Neither seems likely to work well with external files.
But perhaps I’ll try it, and see how things work. I have no experience with external files and maybe I’m concerned for no good reason.
It’s quite possible. I’ve been careful to note that while the pure size is a reasonable guess, it is only a guess. There may be other factors that set them apart. I don’t know much about the internals of PDFs, though
