I have been happy with running TW in node.js and get a good result when exporting to a single file to load onto webserver. However as my wiki grows the size of that single file of course gets ever larger. This is mainly because my wiki may contain a large number of images.
So the question is, what are the alternative approaches to publishing my node,js TW and maybe retain the individual Tiddlers and structure rather than a large single file?

Hello… I have had good success shrinking embedded images within my notebook using https://squoosh.app/ and the webp format: 30 MB → 10 MB…
webp images import well in TiddlyWiki.
This is a question I’ve been thinking of asking too, so thank you for asking and thank you to everyone who answered. I’ll save the links for my own use too.
I would just add, relevant to the OT “Moving TW to the web - a large file” externalising files outside tiddlywiki makes sense, but in many cases it may be easier to embed the content.
For example if you publish videos, do it on You Tube and embed the video in your Wiki. This off loads the loading and streaming to you tube and keeps it off your server.
