I didn’t guess that this had anything to do with prediction, only with reporting the somewhat interesting statistic of “longest winning streak”, “longing losing streak”, etc.

But yes, beware if there is any notion of “there’s been a long run of losses, we’re clearly due for a win”, or any such.

Your right, it’s not about prediction and it is about reporting consecutive losses

If you know in advance that your strategy has an edge (over a large sample size) but can produce 4 losses in a row, when that occurs, you are not going to abandon it.
