I should add that inkscape can import pixel based images but it cannot perform magic and fill in the missing data if you need to scale the image up -

Right. This is all getting a bit technical

There are actually online utilities that do “bitmap” → “svg” quite well.

good catch, I didn’t have that fixed on my tiddler either, glad to have that fixed, I was wondering why I was having trouble getting it to change size

Bit late to the party but just flagging up ink scape is available as a portable app from portableapps.com which means you can install into a single folder and run it without admin. Often use full.
